Praise for this year's contest entries!

Here is what the judges had to say about this year's entries...

About Holiday Hoopla by Dana Volney-
Holiday Hoopla is a story that will warm your heart with its spunky heroine, questing hero and festive Christmas setting.  It was easy to believe in their motivations and fun to share in their journey toward love.

About Helena's Christmas Beau by Aileen Fish-
I loved Helena’s Christmas Beau. The hero was based on character rather than studlyness and the heroine was a woman he had been in love with before. She was just coming out of mourning for her late fiancĂ© and we were able to see her change into a woman ready for love.
This author’s style is engaging and I look forward to reading more of her work.

About A Cottage Christmas by EmmaLee McCrickett-
EmmaLee McCrickett’s “A Cottage Christmas” is a sweet historical romance about finding your way, no matter what your circumstances. Cornelia and Geoffrey know a lot about each other, except what the other is thinking. This story of miscommunication, dire situations and deep love was fun to read. The characters are written well and I enjoyed reading about them finding their way.

About The Strong Silent Type by Lynn Kellan-
Lynn Kellan’s “The Strong, Silent Type” was a sweet look at how two people can pick themselves up after the worst types of heartbreak and open themselves up to possibilities again. I enjoyed reading Tina and Wade’s story and how they fell in love. The emotion and heartbreak of both sides was conveyed well.

About On the 12th Date of Christmas by Nikki Lynn Barrett-
Stories about acceptance, and finding acceptance for yourself through another person, are wonderful, especially during the holidays when familial and financial pressures can bring out insecurities.
About The Soldier's Christmas by Melissa Blue-
It was nice to see the hero doubt the heroine for once—interesting twist! Vulnerable man=exciting read.
About A Groom for Christmas by Cara Marsi-
A Groom for Christmas has everything you want in a holiday novella: plenty of Christmas spirit, an incredibly sexy hero, and a sweet heroine who can wrap the rest of his days in joy if he lets her into his heart. Get this book and you won’t be disappointed!
About Home for Christmas by Melissa McClone-
Rachel and Nate are great, warm, likeable characters. Loved the way the author depicted the small town and the caring people. A very heartwarming Christmas story, very sweet.

About The Lord Who Sneered by Heidi Ashworth-
Very sweet and heartwarming story with likeable characters. A different type of story that kept me reading to see what would happen next!
About Christmas Lights by Liberty Blake-
A delightful love story with a single father any reader could fall in love with.

About Weighting for Christmas by Patricia Walters-Fischer-
This was a fun, light-hearted reunion story perfect for those stolen moments in a busy week when you need a quick read.
About Muffins and Mistletoe by Debora Dennis-
This is a quick, sweet read about two people that are trying to find out where they stand together. It's light and a nice read for the holidays.
About Nowhere for Christmas by Heather Gray-
Absolutely beautiful writing voice!
About Gift from the Heart by Trish F Leger- A wonderful holiday story to put you in the spirit of the holidays. Enjoyable read, great characters.

About Frost by Moira Keith-
A charming, breezy little slice of Christmas. Our elfin heroine is sent from the North Pole P.D. to the human world to track down the man she loved and left a year ago, the dashing Jack Frost. Lots of Christmasy images and holiday cheer!

About Ghosts of Grace Cottage by Carolyn Wren-A fun heartfelt read full of steamy hot scenes!

Thanks again to our participating authors this year! Winner will be announced on January 1st! Good luck:)

Best,
Jennifer Snow

Top Three Entries!!

Hi Everyone and Merry Christmas!

Sorry this announcement is late, we were just waiting on some last minute scorecards:)

I want to thank all of the participating authors and voters who have made this year's SnowGlobe Award a fun and successful contest in its first year! So far, during the holiday season we have had almost 4000 visits to the blog, which I hope has translated into promotion and sales for our talented authors and the discovery of some new-to-them authors for the voters who have stopped by to participate and offer support.

I have to say, all of the entries were great and we had such a wide range of sub-genres that judging the contest was really interesting and fun. The scorecards were so close that it came down to the difference of .1 for the third spot into the finals!

So, here they are, in no particular order-the top three finalists in this year's SnowGlobe Award contest!

Frost by Moira Keith

A Groom for Christmas by Cara Marsi

Home for Christmas by Melissa McClone

Congrats ladies!! Your entries are now being read by a panel of independent readers and the winner will be announced on January 1st!!

Thanks again and Happy Holidays!
