Welcome to the 2013 SnowGlobe Award Contest hosted by Jennifer Snow Books! As a writer of sweet contemporary romance-often with a holiday theme, I decided this year to launch my own award for the year's best holiday title as decided by peers and readers alike.
Holiday romances are a favorite among readers of the genre and each year there are so many wonderful heartfelt, emotion-packed stories with beautiful festive covers, that I thought it would be nice to honor some of these authors who help get us into the holiday spirit.
The contest is open to all subgenres of romance-as long as it has a holiday theme. The word count is open to any length this year, and may have subcategories in following years. In its launch year, I am also keeping the participant numbers to 25 authors to keep the contest running smoothly.
The contest is free to enter, participating authors are simply asked to act as judges for the first round-scoring two entries and submitting score sheets by the deadline date.
The winner will be announced on January 1st.
Throughout the contest, author covers, excerpts, profiles will be displayed on this blog and there will be lots of opportunity to interact with the authors and get to know them and their stories. Mini prizes will be awarded to both participating authors and readers throughout the contest.
